City's transfer spending v other Premiership clubs: 2003 to presentUpdated: March 26th, 2007

We’ve spent less on transfers since 2003 than any other club in the Premiership.

The club have made a £17.63million profit from transfer deals since John Wardle took over from David Bernstein as chairman in March 2003.

Not surprisingly, Chelsea top the list of spenders. What may be surprising is that they have spent more than all the other clubs combined.

The table (below) was compiled mainly from figures at soccerbase.com and sportinglife.com. Signing-on fees and bonuses are not included.
