List of players' contracts & agents Updated: March 10th, 2007

Here’s the updated list of contracts and agents following the January transfer window.

There’s been some speculation that Barton was going to ditch his agent Wille McKay, but it appears their football and horseracing partnership is still intact.

I still haven’t established who Sun Jihai’s agent is, though someone contacted me to suggest it’s his father. Other players who keep it in the family are Samaras (represented by father Giannis) and Hamann, whose agent is wife Tina.

I’ll keep the table in the Squad & Stats section and update whenever there’s a change. If anyone can fill in any of the missing gaps, please email me using the Contact/Contribute button at the bottom of the page.

I’ve also noticed that Ousmane Dabo turned 30 today. So happy birthday, fella.

Here’s the updated list of when the contracts come up:

City’s finances in the news

City still have the 17th biggest turnover in the world, according to the Deloitte Football Money League 2007 (story here). You can download the report for free by giving your name and email address here.

Also keeping City in the financial news was Harry Philp, who is MD of Hermes Sports Partners.

According to Mancityfans, Philp was on SkySportsNews yesterday declaring that City are favourites to be the next club taken over. On Dec 10 Philp also told the Sunday Times that City could be the next club to be bought by a foreign investor.

What Philp didn’t declare was that his firm are City’s financial advisors, providing the club with “ongoing general corporate finance advise relating to, amongst other things, capital raising and restructuring”.

MySpace update

I got an email from an American-based City fan called Chrissy yesterday, who reckons Joey Barton’s MySpace page is genuine and was probably set up by his brother Andrew.

She believes the others are fake, but tells me Darius Vassell and Claudio Reyna both have pages there.

Chrissy has a very entertaining blog (link) which features City, fake nuns and general rudeness about Posh & Becks.

And straying completely off-topic, scall at Wookie’s Lair describes a very unusual morning when Prince Charles and Camilla unexpectedly turned up at his place of work.
